Fibromyalgia, leaky gut, Syndrome X and delayed food hypersensitivity - all terms Americans never heard of 20 or more years ago. Yet, a growing number of our population is becoming familiar with these conditions either through the media or directly by knowing a family member or friend with one or more of these conditions or because of their own health concerns. Do we treat these illnesses with separate and isolated nutritional therapy programs, like looking up solutions as recipes in a therapeutic cookbook? Is there an entirely different nutritional therapy program for fibromyalgia than for food sensitivities? Perhaps this "cookbook" approach to health concerns is really just treating symptoms and not really focusing on the underlying cause of why there is illness or disease.
